The purpose of this site is to promote LEED® Canada for Homes and in particular our residence construction project in Merritt, BC.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System tm encourages and accelerates global adaption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

LEED® is a third-party certification program and an internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.  LEED® promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performances in 5 key areas of human and environmental health:
  • sustainable site development
  • water efficiency
  • energy efficiency
  • materials selection
  • indoor environmental quality

Our personal goal is for the highest Certification Level available, Platinum.  It will be challenging, our initial calculation indicates Gold as attainable with enough possible points to achieve the Platinum designation.

There are presently no certified LEED Canada for Homes projects in the Nicola Valley, we plan on being one of the first to attain certification.
